Paris-born actor Louis-Do de Lencquesaing began his career with the usual small film roles. However, instead of subpar paying-your-dues fare, his early artistic collaborations included projects with renowned directors such as Arnaud Desplechin, Claude Chabrol, and Jean-Luc Godard. Settling comfortably into character roles, de Lencquesaing gained excellent notices for his work in acclaimed movies, including Olivier Assayas' literary period piece "The Destinees," Michael Haneke's psychological thriller "Hidden" and Eva Ionesco's semi-autobiographical comedy-drama "My Little Princess." In addition, he continued his theater work and appeared occasionally on French television, guest starring on series such as the popular crime drama "Empreintes Criminelles" and working on made for TV movies.
